Richmond has an unusually high concentration of small agencies and consultancies, so a good share of our work here is done behind somebody else's brand rather than our own.
We are based in Tolworth, which puts Richmond around six miles north of us. Near enough for a kick-off meeting and the occasional check-in, far enough that most of the work happens the way it should — on a staging site you can look at whenever you like, rather than in a status meeting.
Where we end up on site more often is the hospitality work, because photographing and specifying a venue site tends to need somebody standing in the venue.

Discuss a projectThe first is direct: independent retail along George Street and the hill, restaurants and venues by the river, and the professional practices and private clinics scattered through the TW postcodes. Hospitality here is the most demanding of those, because a venue site lives or dies on whether somebody can book a table on a phone in four taps, and most of the off-the-shelf booking plugins make that harder than it needs to be.
The second is other agencies. Richmond and Twickenham have a lot of small design, branding and marketing firms, and a design firm that wins a client needing a bespoke build has two options: turn it down, or find a developer who will work under their name. We are the second one. The client stays theirs, the work ships under their brand, and we do not approach their client afterwards.
