One platform carries every way the public pays the service — booking a course, subscribing for the year, donating, or arranging event cover — rather than each running through a separate system. Scroll the diagram sideways to see all of it.

The challenge

A registered charity that provides the ambulance service for its island community, and runs a training arm delivering first aid and health and safety courses to individuals and employers.

Selling a course place is not the same as selling a product. What is being bought is a seat on a particular date, so the booking has to understand dates rather than stock.

What we built

  • A course catalogue with scheduled dates.
  • Online booking with payment taken at the point of reservation.
  • Customer accounts for individuals and for employers booking staff on.
  • Built on an ecommerce platform extended with booking functionality.

The outcome
