For agencies · Extra capacity

Say yes to the work without hiring for it.

When two projects land in the same month, the choice is usually turning one down or stretching a team that is already full. There is a third option.

Capacity confirmed first No permanent hire Under your brand Short notice
What this is

Cover for the busy months.

Agency workload is lumpy. Hiring for the peak means carrying the cost through the trough, and hiring takes longer than the deadline allows anyway.

We take the overflow so the work stays with your agency, rather than going to whoever had availability.

What it covers

  • Extra development hands for a defined piece of work
  • Cover when in-house developers are fully booked
  • Specialist work outside your team’s usual range
  • Short-notice support when a deadline moves
  • Delivered under your brand, like any other project with us

Capacity is confirmed before anything is committed, so you can say yes to the client knowing the time exists rather than hoping it will. Scroll the diagram sideways to see all of it.
How it works

Knowing the time exists.

Capacity is confirmed before any project starts, so you are never waiting on an answer while a client waits on you. If we cannot take it, we say so straight away rather than squeezing it in badly.

Retained partners get priority scheduling, which is the reliable way to secure time in a busy month rather than finding out it has gone.

Agency questions

Questions agencies ask.

How quickly can you take work on?
It depends what is already booked, which is why we confirm capacity before anything is agreed rather than after. Retained partners get priority scheduling, so if short-notice cover is a recurring need a small retainer is the practical way to secure it.
Who owns the work at the end?
The work belongs to your agency. You keep the repository, the hosting accounts and the client relationship, and we will hand over to anyone you choose without obstruction.
Do you speak to our clients directly?
Only if you want us to. The default is that we work entirely behind you and your team relays everything. If it helps, we will join a client call on your behalf and under your brand — plenty of partners prefer having the technical answers come straight from the person who built it.
Is there a minimum size of job?
Not really. Overflow work ranges from a few days of focused development to a full build somebody else designed. What matters more is that the scope is defined enough to be handed over cleanly.
